American Foundations Urges President Trump to Prioritize U.S. Manufacturing Jobs Following State of the Union Address

Common Sense America (CSA) President and Founder Steve Crim issued a statement following President Donald J. Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address.

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 25, 2026 — Common Sense America (CSA) President and Founder Steve Crim issued a statement following President Donald J. Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address.

“President Trump was right to focus so much of tonight’s speech on the strength of the American economy. To keep moving forward with efforts to boost domestic manufacturing, we need to do more to support American-made cement—the bedrock of our country’s greatness.

“Low-quality foreign cement continues to threaten our markets, leading to weaker infrastructure that requires more repairs and increases costs for hardworking taxpayers. If we invest in shoring up domestic cement production, we can create American jobs, strengthen local economies, and build stronger, longer-lasting foundations for a new Industrial Golden Age. Let’s get to work, Mr. President!”
